Interactive Children's Storytelling Method Based on Local Values in Forming Moral Values in Early Childhood

Abstract

Character education for early childhood is crucial, especially amidst the challenges of the digital era. The interactive storytelling method based on local values emerges as an effective approach to instill moral values from an early age. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The results indicate that interactive storytelling, incorporating local values such as honesty, cooperation, and respect for parents, significantly enhances children’s understanding and internalization of moral values. Children actively participated in the activities and demonstrated positive behavioral changes in daily life. This method has proven to be a meaningful and engaging strategy in contextually shaping early childhood moral character.
